What to Bring for Fishing

  • Gortex or neoprene waders (needed for all fly fishing on the Naknek & remote fly outs)
  • Fishing license (purchase online or in King Salmon)
  • Waterproof jacket (very important)
  • Warm hat with visor or ball cap
  • Gloves
  • Polarized glasses
  • Plenty of warm layers
  • Your own rod, reel and tackle (if you prefer your own)
  • Waterproof camera

How to Get Here
King Salmon is located approx. 300 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska.  Accessible only by air, you have two options for summer service into King Salmon.  Both PenAir and Alaska Airlines fly into King Salmon several times per day.  Alaska Airline mileage plan miles may be used on both airlines.

Cell Phones

Please be aware that the only cell phones that will work in King Salmon are those with GCI service.  Blue Fly B&B offers wireless phones for guest use, but we do request that you bring or purchase a phone card for any long distance cards.  For cell phone and other electronic rentals, check Alaska Eagle Eye.
